Beginning with the Fall 2009 term, UAB and Jefferson State Community College (JSCC) will begin offering 2+2 degree-completion programs in Business Management and Early Childhood Education, with classes offered at the Jefferson County Campus (Education) and the Shelby County Campus (Business).
Participating students will have the convenience of the partnership and location, combined with UAB's nationally recognized programs and the achievement of a four-year degree.
Steps to enrolling in a UAB 2+2 program:
- Have a 2.0 cumulative GPA (out of 4.0) on transferrable courses
- Complete core courses and transfer no fewer than 24 semester hours from the community college
- Apply for admission to UAB as a transfer student at www.uab.edu/apply
- Submit transcripts from every college or university attended to the UAB Undergraduate Admission Office

All participating students will be asked to participate in UAB's required New Student Orientation. Orientation sessions for 2+2 students will be offered on both the Jefferson and Shelby campuses of JSCC.
