The UAB National Alumni Society provided $750,000 in scholarships, grants, and gifts to the university last year. The society is very proud to offer much-needed scholarship assistance to incoming freshman, transfer students, graduate students, upperclassmen and international students. Increasing NAS scholarships is an important goal of the UAB National Alumni Society, as it allows us to assist UAB students who will later become future alumni. We have great momentum in this area and plan to continue to increase the number of scholarships we offer each year.

Distinguished Alumni Scholarship

For students attending the school of the current year's recipient of the National Alumni Society's Distinguished Alumni Award. For 2012, this award is named for Ms. Anne Harper Arrasmith, a graduate of the College of Arts & Sciences.

Dr. Charles A. McCallum International Scholarship

For students who are citizens of Taiwan or Thailand.

Student of Employee Scholarship *NEW - 2012*

For children of UAB employees who are entering as a freshman.

Joseph F. Volker Alumni Scholarship

For students who excel academically and demonstrate campus leadership.

License to Learn Scholarship

For Alabama students in need of financial assistance who excel academically.
