The Eighth Annual Alumni Leadership Recognition and Awards Luncheon was held on Thursday, September 25, 2008 at The Club, honoring the Society's 2008 award recipients. The NAS is proud to recognize the outstanding accomplishments of those individuals with extraordinary commitment and dedication to the mission and vision of UAB. It has also become tradition for the NAS president to pass the gavel to the next president for the upcoming year. 2007-08 President Anita Clemon was recognized for her leadership and efforts over the past year, and welcomed incoming president Brian Oakes as he leads the charge for the NAS in 2008-09.
