Homecoming 2008 was full of excitement as schools, students, faculty, and staff went above and beyond to make sure that the campus was full of UAB spirit all week long. The week kicked off on Sunday as everyone joined together to "Paint the Town Green and Gold" for the week ahead. On Tuesday, the schools and other campus organizations rallied against each other for the best decorated building and then again on Wednesday in the annual Gurney Derby Competition. The week was full of other events and activities sponsored by our schools and campus groups, giving everyone plenty of opportunities to show their Blazer spirit. While the annual Homecoming parade was cancelled due to weather, the momentum stayed strong as crowds filled Blazer Village on Saturday and cheered the Blazers to victory against Marshall in a 23-21 win!
