Brian Curtin (BA, A&H, '08) debuted his first film, Concrete Hustle, at the Sidewalk Film Festival in Birmingham.

Dr. Marquita Davis (Ph.D., Education, '98) was appointed yesterday to the cabinet level position of Commissioner of Children's Affairs by Governor Riley.

Lori Ewoldsen (BS, Business, '83; MSHA, Health Professions, '90), was named a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE). 

Ronald S. Owen (MSHA, Health Professions, '74), CEO of Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan was selected to serve as an alternate delegate to the American Hospital Association. 

Rica Lewis-Payton (MSHA, Health Professions, '83) has been named director of the Birmingham VA Medical Center. 

Riki Rager (BS, Health Professions, '92) has been elected to the board of trustees of the American Society of Electroneurodiagnositic Technologists.

Dr. Irtaza H. Siddique (MPH, Public Health, '78) has retired after 44 years of service at Tuskegee Institute after serving as a professor of microbiology and public health in the College of Veterinary Medicine, Nursing, and Allied Health. 

Carol H. Steckel (MPH, Public Health, '94) has been elected chair of the Executive Committee of the National Association of State Medicaid Administrators.
