The UAB National Alumni Society is proud to announce it's newest member - The UAB Alumni House! The NAS is excited to finally have a place on campus for alumni and friends to gather and call home.
Construction of the long-awaited Alumni House will begin soon, with completion scheduled within the next 2 years. The proposed $3.4 million project will be located at 1001 13th Street South, on the site of the former Forensics Sciences Building, next to Snoozy's Bookstore and across the street from the Alys Stephens Center.
The Alumni House will provide a much needed facility for the National Alumni Society. The House contains 12,750 square feet, including three conference rooms, a great room, and terrace. It will be used for alumni programs and events, and will also serve as home for alumni affairs & annual giving staff offices. Our new space will accommodate all types of NAS events - from dinners and receptions, to board and chapter meetings - and will even include ample parking for both day and evening events.
The National Alumni Society has pledged the first 1.2 million dollars to launch the building campaign. This is an exciting time for the NAS and we hope you will join us in sharing the excitement of this addition to UAB's campus!
