About the group:
The ADHD Parent Support Group is a networking system for parents of elementary and middle school-aged children with Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) or Attention Deficit-Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Join us to learn more about strategies for overcoming the obstacles often faced by parents of children with ADHD from community professionals and fellow group members. While facilitated by professionals from the Birmingham community, this support group is intended to reflect the needs and concerns of the parents involved in the group. It is not intended to be a lecture-style group. Instead, parents are encouraged to share information and resources with each other within a positive and constructive environment.
Group facilitators cannot provide individual therapy or advice regarding medication to group members. However, resources can be provided upon request.
