In addition to this board certification as a Physician Nutrition Specialist, Dr. Ayaz Virji is board certified in both Family Medicine and Bariatric Medicine. He received his MD from Georgetown University Medical School and completed a family medicine residency at Duke University Medical Center. He is the author of "The Skinny Book" as well as a number of scientific publications on obesity treatment and weight management. He is currently the Medical Director of The 6-Step Weight Loss Center in Largo, Florida.
