Robert Kushner, MD, is a professor of medicine at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and Medical Director of the Wellness Institute at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. After finishing a residency in Internal Medicine at Northwestern University, he went on to complete a post-graduate fellowship in Clinical Nutrition and earn a Masters degree in Clinical Nutrition and Nutritional Biology from the University of Chicago. Dr. Kushner is a past president of the American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition and serves on the American Board for Physician Nutrition Specialists. In 2002 he received the Dannon Institute Award for Excellence in Medical/Dental Nutrition Education from the American Society for Clinical Nutrition. Dr. Kushner has authored over 95 original publications in the medical literature and serves on the editorial board for Nutrition in Clinical Practice.
