Dr. Berger received her Medical Degree at the Rosalind Franklin Medical School/Finch University in 2000. Following this, she completed her Internal Medicine Residency at Lutheran General Hospital in 2003. She is Board Certified in Internal Medicine.

Currently, she practices Bariatrics/Internal Medicine at the University of Illinois at Chicago Medical Center in the Nutrition and Wellness Center. She is the Medical Director of the medically supervised weight loss programs. She also follows the nutritional needs of and the preoperative and postoperative bariatric surgery patients.

Dr. Berger became interested in Obesity Management after completing her undergraduate degree at the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana. She completed the 4 year Registered Dietitian program there and then went on to Medical School to pursue her M.D. degree. During her Medical School and Residency years, she spent time doing research and developing programs for Medical Students in Nutrition and Obesity.

In addition to her clinical practice, she has been the Course Director at UIC for the Nutrition First Year Medical Student Nutrition Course. In her free time, she enjoys swimming, running and yoga and spending time with her family and friends.
