Dr. Berall is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics and the Department of Nutritional Sciences at the University of Toronto. His is on active staff in the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. He is on active staff and Head of the Feeding Disorders Clinic at Bloorview Kids Rehab. He is Chief of Paediatrics at North York General Hospital. He received his M.D. degree from University of Ottawa, after which he completed a residency in Paediatrics between Winnipeg Children's Hospital/University of Manitoba and Hospital for Sick Children/University of Toronto, and a fellowship in clinical nutrition at the Division of Clinical Nutrition, Hospital for Sick Children. He is board-certified in paediatrics and clinical nutrition. He is Head of the Children's Obesity Regional Service at the North York General Hospital. He received aWightman-Berris Academy Award for Excellence in Clinical Teaching in 2001, and was nominated again in 2002.
