Belinda Needham, Ph.D., studies gender differences in the link between mental and physical health across the life course. She also studies how gender inequality can shape inequalities in health. Needham has authored and co-authored studies in the American Journal of Public Health, the Journal of Adolescent Health, and the Journal of Youth and Adolescence. She has been a member of the UAB Department of Sociology and Social Work since 2008.
