James McClintock, Ph.D., professor of biology, is an expert in invertebrate chemical ecology, reproduction, nutrition and physiology, particularly in marine invertebrates. He is also an expert on Antarctica, and travels to Antarctica frequently, studying the chemical defenses of marine organisms. McClintock's research has been published by a number of noteworthy journals, including Nature, Marine Biology and American Scientist.
