Jeffrey Michael Clair, Ph.D., is an associate professor in the UAB Department of Sociology and Social Work, specializing in medical sociology, gerontology, social psychology and ethnography. He is currently working on an ethnographic study of street homelessness. He is co-author of the new book At Home on the Street: People, Poverty and a Hidden Culture of Homelessness.
