Upender Manne, Ph.D. is an associate professor in the Department of Pathology and the Division of Anatomic Pathology. He is also a associate scientist in the UAB Minority Health and Health Disparities Research Center and in the UAB Comprehensive Cancer Center. Manne's research is focused on the identification of early molecular markers of cancer, especially breast and GI malignancies, and in using genomic and proteomic approaches to find those markers. Another major focus is understanding the racial disparities of disease by studying the biological, environmental and comorbidity factors that impact disease.
