Jack Rogers, Ph.D., joined the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 1994 as a Postdoctoral Fellow and joined the Department of Engineering Faculty in 1997. He was previously a Senior Scientist at the San Diego Supercomputer Center. Dr. Rogers' current research interests include cardiac electrophysiology, in particular, the study of the mechanisms of cardiac arrhythmias using finite element modeling and high-resolution cardiac mapping. He has also worked on problems in high-performance computing and scientific visualization. He work also includes NIH funded research into mechanisms for maintenance of ventricular fibrillation.
