Ali Ahmed, M.D., is an associate professor of medicine in the Division of Gerontology, Geriatrics and Palliative care. His research and clinical focus is on congestive heart failure, particularly in geriatric populations, along with general geriatrics and depression. He is board certified in internal medicine and geriatric medicine. He earned his medical degree from the University of Dhaka and a master's of public health in epidemiology from UAB.
