Alan Percy, M.D., is professor of pediatric neurology, medical director of the UAB Civitan International Research Center and director of the UAB Civitan-Sparks Clinics. He is one of the nation's leading experts on Rett Syndrome, helping to identify the first cases of the condition in the U.S. He has just been honored by the International Rett Syndrome Foundation as their clinician of the year in 2009, the 10th anniversary of the discovery of the gene responsible for Rett Syndrome.
