David Freedman, M.D., is professor of medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases. Freedman is an international expert on geographic medicine who runs the UAB Travelers' Clinic. He earned his medical degree from the University of Toronto, and he is chair of the Scientific Program Committee for the International Society of Travel Medicine and the Certifying Examination Committee for the American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene.
