James Cox, PhD., is an associate professor in the UAB Department of Psychology. Cox studies the physiological controls of food intake and body weight. He also conducts studies using fMRI to examine the brain systems involved in responses to food cues and in decision making. Cox has published articles in various journals, including Appetite, Physiology and Behavior and Neuroimage.
