Dennis McLernon, M.F.A., is associate professor of performance in the UAB Department of Theatre. He teaches courses in all levels of the acting process, dramatic literature and dialects for the stage, as well as directing department productions. McLernon is a member of the Actor's Equity Association. McLernon is on the board of The Alabama Conference of Theatre. He is a production respondent in Region IV for the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival. He is also a regular program presenter at the Association of Theatre in Higher Education and The Southeast Theatre Conference. His UAB directing credits include “The Piano Lesson,” “The Seagull,” “The Body of a Woman As a Battlefield In The Bosnian War,” “Falsettos,” “Hay Fever,” “The Tempest,” “In the Blood” and others.
