FLCs will help students do all this and get the most out of their first semester at UAB. By being concurrently enrolled with the same cohort of students in courses linked by a common theme, new freshmen have a ready-made community of study buddies, as well as instructors who take a special, personalized interest in their progress. In fact, our FLCs are taught by some of UAB’s best teachers!
FLCs offer convenient schedules, extracurricular opportunities, and courses with related subject matter and assignments. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis, with, in most cases, only 25 students in each FLC.
