Project Description: Group-randomized clinical trial of a cognitive-behavioral intervention to promote primary (sexual risk reduction) and secondary (Pap smear) prevention of cervical cancer. Lay Health Educators have been used to deliver the intervention in the community. The intervention group receives 8-weeks of cervical cancer information, while the control group received 8-weeks of nutrition information. Each group is assessed before and after the intervention. Lay Health Educators are used to deliver the intervention and trained individuals to administer the in-person interviews.
Intern's Anticipated Duties:
Duty 1: Data preparation and entry into the database
Duty 2: Literature searches for upcoming manuscripts
Duty 3:Assistance with development of upcoming projects
Preceptor will provide intern with access to the following: office or desk space, computer and printer; supplies neeeded to complete the project
