Project Description:  In vitro chemosensitivity assays are currently used to guide clinicians on how to best treat patients with chemotherapy. In the setting of ovarian cancer, it is unclear whether the optimal site to procure tissue should be the primary ovarian tissue versus metastatic disease in the omentum versus ascites. All three are straightforward to procure in a woman with ovarian cancer. The primary goal of this study to compare chemosensitivity profiles among the three sites in women with primary ovarian cancer and determine if they are consistent with one another.

Duty 2: To help collect specimens in the operating room and send off to the lab
