Project Description: This project covers understanding the biology of pancreatic cancer, search for novel targets and testing new therapeutic agents.  We are a translational research lab, where scientists and physicians work together in effort to bring research ideas from the bench side to the bed side and back.  The intern will interact with both faculty and surgical residents and will appreciate the training to become a physician-scientist.  Specific details of the project will be discussed during the interview and could be tailored according to the intern's interests and desires.  We provide a fun working atmosphere and supervision/troubleshooting for our interns at all times.  We expect our students to present thier work at the CCC Retreat where we have won multiple awards in the CaRES category before.

Intern's Anticipated Duties:
Duty 1: Lab bench work
Duty 2: Data analysis
Duty 3: Participation in lab meeting and project discussions

Preceptor will provide intern with access to the following: office or desk space; computer and printer; laboratory work bench space; equipment needed to complete project; supplies needed to complete project
