Project Description: Assist smoking cessation director with group and individual counseling at the VA Hospital. Includes collecting data from patients and providing them with information about tobacco and how to quit.
Intern's Anticipated Duties:
Duty 1: Assist with group smoking cessation classes, including class preparation, working with patients to complete forms, helping measure smoking activity
Duty 2: Observe individual counseling sessions, possibly conduct some
Duty 3: Collect data from patients related to their tobacco use and health
Preceptor will provide intern with access to the following: office or desk space
