Project Description: Patients with advanced ovarian cancer are at high risk for developing a bowel obstruction.  The majority of patients develop an intestinal obstruction after they have completed chemotherapy and have resistant disease.  Many patients are admitted to the hospital for a partial small bowel obstruction.  We plan to review charts of patients with primary and recurrent ovarian cancer who are admitted to the hospital.  We plan to analyze patients' symptoms and treatments needed to relieve the intestinal obstruction.  This will be a prospective cohort study investingating intestinal dysfunction and obstruction in women with ovarian cancer.

Duty 1: Chart review
Duty 2: Creating a database
Duty 3: Analyzing data
