Cytotechnologist

Cytotechnologists help save lives by early detection of cancer and other diseases using advanced procedures and equipment.  With a degree in Cytotechnology:
  • Your starting average national salary will be almost $50,000 per year.
  • You will work with pathologists and microscopically evaluate various cell samples to detect microorganisms, cancer, and related diseases.
  • You will work independently with little supervision and have a variety of employment opportunities in hospital laboratories, administration, education, industry, and research.
  • Each day, you will help save patient’s lives by early detection of cancer
  • You can obtain an advanced degree in a special interest area to further your knowledge and advancement.
  • With experience, you will be able to work in education, research, or management.

B.S. in Cytotechnology

M.S.C.L.S. in Cytology
