Clinical education, which is comprised of experiences with patients, is taken at health care facilities both on the UAB campus and at other approved clinical affiliates. Liability insurance is mandatory for all students registered for clinical education courses. A low-cost insurance policy available through the UAB Office of Risk Management and Insurance is billed to students by the UAB Cashier's Office during terms when students are registered for courses with clinical education.
