Amy Yarbrough Landry, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Services Administration at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.  She received her Ph.D. (administration-health services) from UAB in 2006.  Dr. Landry also holds an M.B.A. and M.S.H.A. from UAB, and a B.S. in Healthcare Management from the University of Alabama.  She has worked for both UAB Hospital and the UAB Health System.  Prior to joining the faculty at UAB, she was a member of the Health Services Research, Management, and Policy faculty at the University of Florida.  Her research interests include the strategic behavior of healthcare organizations, strategic human resources management, leadership development, and technology acceptance among physicians.  Dr. Landry recently received a Health Management Research Award from the American College of Healthcare Executives to study the way that healthcare executives learn management principles on the job, and she is currently participating in the organizational analysis portion of the Florida Medicaid reform evaluation project housed out of the University of Florida.
