The UAB DPT students gathered up on September 26 at Oak Mountain State Park. The purpose was to celebrate National Physical Therapy Month with a fun community event while raising funds for the Foundation for Physical Therapy. The race was sponsored by local physical therapy clinics, physical therapists and local businesses. The students are continuing fundraising efforts throughout the month of October! If you or your business would like to donate to the Foundation, please contact Jennifer Christy, PT, PhD at 205-934-5903 or email jbraswel@uab.edu . All donations to the Foundation are tax deductible and are used to fund studies related to physical therapy outcomes and interventions. If you donate at least $25, you will also receive a t-shirt from the race (while supplies last!).
