Faculty position is available in the Nurse Anesthesia Program, School of Health Professions at The University of Alabama at Birmingham. This is a full-time, regular, twelve-month position. Salary, academic rank and tenure status are commensurate with qualifications and experience. Primary responsibilities include didactic instruction, research, and studetn selection, advising, and evaluation. One day per week is available for clinical practice. Opportunities exist for degree advancement. An energetic,cohesive group of individuals comprise the Nurse Anesthesia faculty and the program has an excellent relationship with the UAB medical school and surrounding medical community. UAB, a premier medical school and research institution, is a RU/VH - Research Universities institution with an international reputation in health care education and research.
Minimum requirements for the position include a Master of Science in Nursing or Master of Nurse Anesthesia degree, and current certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. Desirable qualifications include doctoral degree and prior experience in research and teaching.
