The University of Alabama at Birmingham invites applications for a faculty member in the Department of Nutrition Sciences. Rank and tenure status are commensurate with qualifications and experience. Necessary qualifications include a doctoral degree (Ph.D. or M.D.) in a relevant discipline, postdoctoral training, and evidence of research capability. Candidates competitive for this position will have demonstrated research experience relevant to the study of insulin sensitivity, glucose metabolism, and energy balance. We are especially, though not exclusively, interested in individuals utilizing transgenic and mutant mouse models, or those with expertise in using stable isotopes.
