Carol B. Craig Scholarship
Eligibility Requirements
  • Applicants for the Carol B. Craig Scholarship must have been accepted for enrollment in the professional phase of the Dietetic Internship or M. S. in Clinical Nutrition program at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
  • Applicants should demonstrate solid academic promise and have earned at least a "B" (3.0 on 4.0 scale) average in undergraduate studies or in other coursework completed prior to the time of application.
  • Applicants must submit the scholarship application to the Director of the Graduate Program in Clinical Nutrition by the announced deadline. 
  • Selection of the scholarship recipients will be made by a departmental Scholarship Committee in accordance with these guidelines.

Administration of Scholarship
  • The scholarship will be awarded for a period of one year only. The minimum award will be $1000.00 annually. Students enrolled in programs that are longer than one year may reapply for the scholarship.
  • The scholarship award will be applied toward the recipient's tuition and fees. The total award will be applied in equal amounts over the regular terms of the academic year. Any scholarship funds in excess of the amount required for tuition and fees will be disbursed to the student for books, supplies or other school-related expenses. 
  • Recipients of the scholarship may be eligible to receive other forms of student financial aid as they may qualify.
