Braswell Participated in the Arizona Ironman

Dr. Jennifer Braswell, Assistant Professor of Physical Therapy, participated in the Ironman Triathlon held in Arizona.

Dr. Jennifer Braswell participated in the Arizona Ironman (IMAZ) held April 9th in Tempe Arizona.

Ironman Triathlon is one of the most grueling events in the world of sport, and also one of the most inspiring. Ironman triathlon features a 2.4-mile swim, a 112-mile bike and a complete marathon (26.2 miles) all in succession. Athletes have 17 hours to complete the event (from the 7 a.m. start until midnight).

Seen above in red as she crosses the finish line of this truly grueling event, Dr. Braswell finished 9th out of 88 in her division and 432nd out of the total 1943 people entered.

A truly awesome finish to an event that pushes the limits of human endurance and the ultimate example of her dedication in the field of Physical Therapy.  Her total time of 11 hours and 55 minutes was composed of the following.
