O’Connor, Ph.D., FACHE, has been appointed as the editor of The Journal of Healthcare Management. This prestigious journal, published by the American College of Healthcare Executives, is the nation’s leading healthcare management journal that merges the interests of those responsible for leading health care delivery organizations and those studying healthcare management and leadership.
Dr. O’Connor’s appointment as editor of a national journal follows that of his colleagues, S. Robert Hernandez, Dr.P.H. and Richard Shewchuk, Ph.D., who were appointed as co-editors of the Journal of Health Administration Education this past year. These appointments further demonstrate the national prominence of and regard for the UAB Department of Health Services Administration in healthcare management education.
