Jose Fernández, Ph.D., has received the UAB President’s Diversity Award in honor and appreciation of his outstanding efforts toward advancing the University’s mission of embracing diversity. The award was presented, as a part of UAB Community Week 2007, by the University President, Vice President for Equity and Diversity and the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs. Dr. José R. Fernández is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Physiology and Metabolism of the Department of Nutrition Sciences in the UAB School of Health Professions.
