Welcome from the HSA Chair
Welcome to the Department of Health Services Administration’s Web site. We have crafted innovative academic programs to meet a variety of student educational needs. All of these programs are linked by the common goal of training the next generation of health care leaders. We hope that you will take the time to fully explore what we have to offer.

For degree seeking students we offer our “Degrees of Distinction.” If you are interested in senior leadership of health care organizations, view our top ten nationally-ranked Master of Science in Health Administration Program. If your interest is information systems, our pre-eminent Master of Science in Health Informatics offers one of the few training opportunities concentrating on developing leadership in this growing and rapidly changing component of health care. If you need to complete your Bachelor’s degree, we have outstanding Bachelor of Science in Health Science (health care management) and Health Information Management Programs. These are designed to prepare you to start your career or to give you the tools to continue your education in a number of disciplines. Finally, if you wish to pursue a career in teaching or research, our Doctoral Program is for you. It is one of the largest and most successful programs in doctoral-level health administration in the nation.

With over 40 years of experience as a frontrunner in training leaders for the health care system, we have learned what it takes to be successful. First, we must assure quality of our educational programs and we do that with outstanding faculty. You can lean more about the qualifications of our faculty and some of the exciting research they produce in these pages. Second, we need to provide educational offerings that are flexible enough to meet your needs. Our programs are offered in traditional, executive and on-line formats. We also offer a range of continuing education opportunities if you desire more education but are not seeking a degree.
